Preface
Books have a Preface. This is the Preface for my blog.Introduction to my blog to book.
Several years ago (I’d be embarrassed to recall exactly how many) I told different stories to three different people in the space of about a week and a half. Each one of those individuals after hearing the story said, “Wow, that was really good, you should write a book.”
At that time I felt God speaking to me through the mouths of two or more. So I began making a list of the stories to write.
Recently, I was talking to a friend about the book and they asked, “What is your intention? Is it about you making money or is it about inspiring people?” I thought about it for a few seconds and answered, “It’s about inspiring people.” That’s when I decided to start the book as a blog. This blog will enable me to get the stories out there for people to read.
I looked at a couple books to get ideas about writing an intro or a preface. One author said that God spoke to him about writing a book on a particular topic, Then his publisher asked him to write a book on that topic. He went on to say that he wasn’t released to write the book for seven years. He determined that God was preparing the hearts of the church and Gods people to receive the information that he presented. That made me feel better about the number of years since God spoke to me about writing this book and getting to this point.
Right after I made the decision to do this as a blog rather than a book the Lord gave me the title. The title had eluded me all those years. I see that as confirmation this is the path God wants me to take.
I believe God is about to move on the earth in ways that have never been seen before. My prayer, my hope and my belief is: these stories will inspire people to take a step of faith and thrust God to move through them and use them. I’ve heard the word “testimony” means do it again. I believe God will do even greater things through you the readers of these stories.
